Navision Automotive Lighting Environmental Reliability Test System

In off-road, industrial, rescue and other demanding environments, the true reliability of a lighting product does not come from marketing claims. It comes from whether the lamp has undergone a complete environmental reliability validation system.

Every Navision lighting product must pass a full set of verification items covering materials, structure, electronics and environmental durability. All tests are conducted based on international standards to ensure long-term stability in real-world applications.

Below are the reliability test items we currently perform, along with their corresponding test conditions.

1. UV Weathering Test (ASTM G154 / SAE J2527)

Simulates long-term sunlight exposure to verify resistance to lens yellowing, housing surface degradation and sealant aging. Test Conditions: UV exposure + condensation cycles, lasting several hundred hours.

2. Humidity & Heat Cycling (IEC 60068-2-30)

Simulates humid climates, rainy seasons and condensation environments. Test Conditions: 25°C ↔ 55°C, 95% RH humidity-temperature cycling.

3. Mechanical Shock Test (IEC 60068-2-27)

Simulates off-road jumps, bumps and sudden impacts. Test Conditions: 30–60G shock, multi-directional repeated cycles.

4. Vibration Test (IEC 60068 / SAE J575)

Verifies structural stability under long-term vibration. Test Conditions: 10–500Hz sweep or random vibration, lasting several hours or more.

5. Ingress Protection (ISO 20653: IP68 / IP69K)

Ensures the lamp remains sealed under immersion, heavy rain and highpressure washing. IP68: 1.5m water immersion for 30 minutes IP69K: 80°C water, 80–100 bar high-pressure spray at multiple angles

6. Salt Spray Test (IEC 60068-2-11 / ISO 9227)

Verifies corrosion resistance in coastal environments and road-salt conditions. Test Conditions: 5% NaCl salt spray, 35°C, continuous exposure for 500 hours.

7. Thermal Shock Test (IEC 60068-2-14) — Powered-On Test (Key Item)

Navision adopts a more stringent “powered-on” method, where the lamp remains illuminated throughout the entire temperature cycling process. Test Conditions:

·-40°C ↔ +80°C extreme temperature cycling

·Temperature transition ≤ 5 minutes

·Lamp remains continuously powered This test verifies the stability of LEDs, drivers and sealing structures under extreme temperature differences.

8. ROHS Material Compliance (IEC 62321)

Ensures all materials meet environmental regulatory requirements.

9. Power Transient Test (IEC 61000-4-5)

Verifies that the lamp will not be damaged by vehicle voltage fluctuations or start-up surges. Test Conditions:±500V to ±1kV surge impact.

10. EMC — Electromagnetic Compatibility (CISPR25 / EN55015 / R10)

Ensures the lamp does not interfere with radios, navigation systems, or other electronics — and is itself immune to external interference. Selected products meet high-grade CISPR25 Class 1–5 requirements.

11. High-Temperature & Low-Temperature Storage (IEC 60068)

Verifies material and structural stability under extreme temperatures. Test Conditions: -40°C / +85°C, 48–72 hours.

12. Accelerated Temperature & Humidity Endurance (IEC 60068-2-78)

Simulates extreme humid-heat environments. Test Conditions: 80°C, 80% RH, continuous exposure for 72 hours.

13. Reverse Voltage Test (ISO 16750-2)

Ensures the lamp is not damaged by incorrect wiring or abnormal vehicle electrical conditions. Test Conditions: Standard products withstand 45V; special products withstand 120–150V.

14. Chemical Resistance (ISO 16750-5)

Verifies stability when exposed to gasoline, engine oil, brake fluid and cleaning agents.
